Mike Kelley

Sublime, presentation of the unpresentable. Terror invoked by these 'dreadful precipices', perhaps a momentary relief.

Tim Macmillan: Dead Horse

Does the shotgun wieding man feel emotion? I would say of course, but perhaps has become immune to the charms and characters of these powerful beasts. Afterall, it is his job. The job that pays for his family to eat.

Beauty and the Contemporary Sublime

Perhaps the most impenetrable book I've ever tried to read, reviewed here in the Guardian.

James Reynolds : Last Suppers

Sublime before the Oblivion

Recreating and photographing these meals is evocative. Will the lonely un-pitted olive sprout a tree long after the execution?
I wonder what I would ask for? The single last pleasure. What if I realised I had chosen the wrong thing once all is decided?

Shell

A cabinet of sea shells, bought from the catalog.

I can hear the sea, close my eyes and I might well be at the shore. Of course, it works better with the water running.

Hunger

I'm trying to feed an undying hunger, in several aspects of my life.

Under the sea

This glass bottomed boat allowed me to be the sea. Be in the sea, without all of the potential horrors.
